Negotiation does not have to be a lose-win or a win-lose situation where one party does not get what they desired. There are ways to negotiate a lower price, while still ensuring the other party gets exactly what they wanted out of the deal. No trickery, manipulation, or dishonesty should be employed in negotiations. The short-term benefits that one can get from unethical behavior do not outweigh the long-term destructive consequences of unethical behavior at the negotiating table.
