I have faced genuine anger from professing Christians simply for stating that we belong in the Top 1% of every area of life. They argue that striving for excellence is “too earthly-minded,” completely missing the point of who we represent.
Think about it: If 99% of the world lives in mediocrity, debt, sickness, and failure, how can that be the Christian standard? We are called to be a “peculiar people,” set apart by the Creator of the universe. If we are getting the exact same results as the world, we are not living as the light of the world.
