The traditions of men tell people there is nothing to do and that Jesus did it all for them. This sounds spiritual, it sounds good to those entrenched in the doctrines of men, but it ignores God’s truths and denies the leading of the Spirit. Once you are in grace, you are not set up for a life of laziness and just doing whatever you want. You must be led by the Spirit and be accounted worthy of the blessings and riches that God wants you to experience.
“He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.” (Matthew 10:37-38)
“But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage” (Luke 20:35)
“Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” (Luke 21:36)
