God does want you to seek Him for wisdom, but you must also wisely understand that He is never a rewarded of laziness. You must constantly be learning and growing, and you may often times come to a limit in your current understanding. This is where the infinite intelligence of God comes in to give you wisdom liberally. You ask boldly and unwaveringly in faith for wisdom, and God will give it to you. In many cases this will add to your understanding and give you new information to use in the current situation and similar situations in the future.

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7)

It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools. (Ecclesiastes 7:5)

Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good. (Ecclesiastes 9:18)
