There is a prevailing idea today that the old idea of less is more is true. There is some truth to that, if you are addressing the consumer mentality that many people have, but there is an underlying link to a poverty mentality behind the idea of downgrading your possessions. Most often when people downgrade a house to a smaller one they only talk about how much money they are saving. The whole idea is they are fearful of not having enough and do not believe in the abundance of God. They pull back in fear because they are not confident that abundance will always be theirs.
