There is a real benefit to your prayers not being answered immediately, especially when you are unclear on exactly what you want. The manifestation of bad things or things that can harm us is more likely if our prayer was answered on a whim. Part of receiving the manifestation we want is in building the character to be the person who can receive the manifestation.
