A trend of #HowToConfuseAMillennial started today between older generations speaking negatively about Millennials and Millennials blaming those same generations for their problems. Blaming anyone else for your life does not make it better and takes control over your life out of your own hands.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” – Philippians 4:8
Poverty is not a blessing sent to keep people spiritual, it is many times the result of people ignoring God’s teaching and bringing curses upon themselves.
Proverbs 11:24 – There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
Proverbs 13:18 – Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.
Proverbs 20:13 – Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.
Proverbs 23:21 – For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
Proverbs 24:33-34 – Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
Proverbs 28:19 – He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.
Being poor keeps you from some of the greatest blessings in life, including the ability to substantially help others. Choosing poverty and lack over wealth and abundance is not good, right, or helpful. Poverty is a curse and a plague on humanity.
