The average prayer is less an actual prayer and more a testimony of disbelief in God. Even the words that we speak are prayers, which is why it is so important that we speak forth only faith-filled and edifying words. If we talk about our troubles, negativity in the world, and how hard life is, we can only expect to receive more of those evil reports we keep testifying to. We need to be so in union with God that our prayers are answered before we even speak!
