Many people allow their lives to be one of constant reaction to the world and chance. Instead of actively looking for God’s grace and thinking about it consistently, they are tossed about with all the problems and negativity of the world. Each day you can choose life and blessing, choose the grace of God, or you can give your power over to the world and be buffeted about needlessly.
For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God. (1 Peter 2:20)
But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. (1 Peter 4:15-16)
