There is this pernicious idea that the enemy has sown in the minds of most of professing Christians that in order to be more spiritual or closer to God they need to be losers. They falsely think they need to be losing in life and always having problems in order to suffer for some vain false humility. The reality is that a Christian should be winning in all areas of their lives and they only lose because they accept the lies of the devil and as a cover for their own laziness and lack of work ethic. You can be humble and glorify God and be a great success, and actually becoming a great success is one of your foremost duties as a being who is walking with God!
